Ideas
A horror/thriller film of a person being kidnapped while walking home from school, and then is locked in a soundproof room. They have to try to escape. On the other end the kidnapper is happily spending time with his neighbours and they’re none the wiser. It would end with the kidnapped person attacking their kidnapper and running out of the house to safety.

A thriller film of someone skating around during a zombie apocalypse talking in voice over about things that make the apocalypse good, when suddenly they run into a familiar face. They only see the back of their head but we get a geographical match cut to a back flash of the girl at school talking to her friends and laughing. It cuts back to reality as the protagonist lifts up their bat and swings to hit the girl, who is a zombie. The main character breaks down over what they did and drags the body to a patch of land where he buries her.

I wrote a script for the apocalypse idea but it was only two pages.
So, I started writing the script for the first idea I had.

Pale Man Scene Analysis

Choose one scene from Pan's Labyrinth to explore the cinematography and mise-en-scene, and how they create meaning. My chosen scene is the scene where Ofelia eats the grapes from the Pale Man's table, the mise-en-scene of costume/prosthetics of the pale man makes him extremely underweight with white, sagging skin and his face is without eyes or a nose, just nostrils and a mouth, he is completely hairless, this design makes him appear like a grotesque monster, but since he was made with prosthestics he looks real to the audience. The mise-en-scene of setting is in the fantasy world, so the design is with warm colours like red and brown, the pale man is sat at the head of a table covered in food - mimicking an earlier scene where Vidal was sat in the same position at a similar table in the real world, thus creating a link between Vidal and the Pale Man. Trainspotting Question

How does the aesthetic quality of 'Trainspotting' depict ideological issues of youth and addiction? Your answer must refer to two scenes. The opening scene of Trainspotting, introduces the audience to the style and the main theme of the film, heroin addiction. The fast paced editing along side the quick, upbeat, non-diegetic music work together to create a high energy feeling, simulating the rush of being young and getting high. By adding Renton's voice over to the film the audience is given immediate insight into his ideological values, and from his accent and language they can make assumptions on his status in society. What he says in his voice over monologue, demonstrates his thoughts on society, he displays a distaste for the lives of ordinary people, he mocks them and his continuous swearing illustrates his anger at the norm; he ends his speech by explaining that he didn't choose life because he has heroin,  w hich indicates Renton decided to destroy his chances

Stoker Sequence Analysis

Out of the 6 minute clip from 'Stoker' which we were given, I decided I'd analyse around 2 minutes of it. ~~~ The sequence begins with a zooming in, medium close-up of a girl, India Stoker, sitting at the bottom of a staircase, with diegetic noise of people talking, footsteps and a spoon tapping a cup as well as non-diegetic noise of music mixed in which I believe is to imply how overwhelmed the girl is by the party, before the voice of Charlie Stoker interrupts and the background noise changes from only the party to the sound of birds and crickets with quiet indistinguishable voices from the party, to show she's been distracted by the noise. When Charlie speaks, the angle on India changes to a high angle, which shows her full body reaction of surprise but also by her head looking up it presents where the noise is coming from, as she stands the camera moves further up to keep the audience looking down at her.    It cuts to a medium close-up of Charl
